A month ago i did dpf off for one friend with edc17c46 octavia 2.0 2011.He came and told me that the car is smoking. There is no fault.I took it out the ecu and opened it.I tried to read with galletto v54 like a month before and there is no communication at all.I tested another ecu with different software number but also edc17c46 and read it fine. Then i put it back to car and guess what....The car is not starting and the coolingfan is working!!!The ecu is on boot mode or is something else? There is any possibility to wrote wrong file to ecu?Because i have one file stored in the same folder. The file was from another edc17c46 with same software. Can this will be done or is my imagination? And if it is possible why was working?I attached the two files.I tried to read it with vcds but nothing.

No your EDC is not in boot mode, is demage, or you have reached some parts when dissolution

i do this ecu with fg v53, this pic is from march, your missing component is not resistor, is capacitor but i dont know value

This capacitor is the problem with the ecu right?

It looks like it, damaged when opening ECU. You can swap it from one ECU to the other and see if you have any comms.

If not, immo off the spare ECU.

UPDATE The problem was the capacitor and the ecu is alive again. For all the mates the value of capacitor is 3.3k ohm
Thank you everyone

I believe that is resistor because i measured it with ohm scale.3.3kohm
I will read it again and i post

is it a stable 3k3? or does it get higher the longer you test it, if so then capacitor if not then resistor..

Component should be tested out of circuit.
