i need to make spare key for Golf 4 1999, i don't remeber yet which transponder do i need for this car

a normal ID48 TP23 ?

if the tp23 can chip is the only chip you have then its fine you can use this as backward compatible , however t6 id48 is cheaper chip .

if its not a cabriolet model then it will be T6 id48
