Rangerover sport 2008

A customer of mine has 2008 rangerover sport ., sometimes twill start and run fine . Sometimes it won't , Landrover dealer have identified the fault as the instrument cluster. They have offered to send it to uk for repair at cost of 350 euros , can I fit a secondhand dash to this jeep and if so how can I transfer the immo data , does anyone know what kind of failure that these dashes suffer from ????

Second hand cluster from ebay , turn car on engine running remove original cluster , connect newone and leave running for a few minutes , now it will be ok turn off engine and do miles km as required , lot cheaper than sending to uk

Doesent work Smarty Marty , I tried it 3 times today and second hand dash will not adapt to the vehicle , does anyone know what the fault in this dash can be or how to fix it ????

Can't you just swap eeproms?

There is no immo info on the 35080 eeproms in this dash . Does anybody where in this dash the immo data is held ??

Swap eeprom, most of these cars have immo in dash.

Definately not , I've done loads of them and immo is definately not in dash
