There is a c46 dil inside it mate old fashioned type of eeprom ... lol

Either open it up and read on your Beeprog ..or stick 8 pins in the holes ...... and read it on your Beeprog :)

I did see on the back of a toilet door the words .

"UNDER HOOD 20 PIN BEFORE 2000, HAVE A GO"

Then underneath the sink was written

"OBD16 - FORGET IT M35080 - MEAT PISHED UP"

So not sure how true it is or who wrote in the toilet .

Err premierd said 93S46 didn't he? Or I'm I getting confused.

If you try reading a 93S46 as 93C46 you end up with "9F" (Saxo ecu) - if that happens, do what I did - tape it to a can of Grey paint and mail it to premierd - bet its sti attached to an empty can of grey paint now.

If you can power the dash up abd voltmeter pins 5 and 8 see if you have 5 volts?

are you trying to read through the shalck with clip on tool?

whip it off the board and sandpaper it.

im desoldering, not using clip, the fact is that is s56 im sure, same problem than this friend:

http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/f174/bmw-z3-correction-414136/

on external eeprom the algo is:

17E4 SWAPPED E417 xor FFFF = 1BE8 dec = 7144x32= 228608 <-- correct mileage

But not sure what to do in internal

i saw in forum someone posted before and its working properly but cannot find algorithm

No option in beeprog no option in upa (just with 93c56)

its 93s56, if i try read as 93c56 upa reads FFFF, just read ok if i select 93s56

in this photo upper side is 178xxxKM, down side is 127xxxKM , highlighted km zone284085
