Audi A8 cluster weird issue

Hello all!
04 Audi A8. This car has an issue where the cluster flickers irregularly when it's first turned on. Needles will work then stop, illumination does the same. Centre screen sometimes stays or goes black. After about 3min cluster operates perfect with no other issues.
Other modules in the car log fault codes for no communication with cluster.
The cluster has been removed and fully reworked- every joint is perfect.
The fault remains.
-no odo correction was performed- this is a very original vehicle.

Has anyone struck this before?

My main question is if I use a cluster from the breakers, is all the vehicle information ie. vin and mileage stored in the 95320 on the back of the main board????
Is it just a matter of swapping this?
I'm very aware of the CP these A8s have.


The cluster is a 4E0 920 900 E


Any help or suggestions are appreciated.

Might be like the a6 with 95320 where immo is not in cluster just try putting used cluster in first

car are already facelift?mileage are into 95320.
you can try swap the dash,and if it not work then clone.

Yes try dash swap first if works then change miles on new cluster
