good on the old girl :D

CONNIE Brown is still putting in an eight-hour day, six days a week, at her chippie - at the age of 101.

She has clocked up a staggering EIGHTY-ONE years in charge of the shop she opened with late hubby Sidney in 1928.

Connie skins, fillets and fries the fish and cleans up afterwards.

And she enjoys her job so much she has no plans to quit.

Connie - whose husband died in 1964 - gets a hand running Browns in Pembroke, West Wales, from son Hilton, 73, and his wife Glenys, 68.

She said: "People say I should have 'Me Time'.

"But I know what's best and that's work. I love it.

"Why should I slacken just because I've gone past 100?

"It keeps me young."

Connie, 102 on August 6, charged one-and-a-half old pence for cod and chips when the shop opened.

It is now ?2.85.
