Set the Valeo BSI to 0.

alfons37
8th November, 2014, 12:44 PM
You mean i read 93c66 in bsi and change to 0 km?

Johnner
8th November, 2014, 12:56 PM
Think it should be 95040 if its a Valeo.

alfons37
8th November, 2014, 12:59 PM
I test resolder, i think is 93c66, can i change 210000 in this bsi file and it work?

Johnner
8th November, 2014, 01:05 PM
No.You've got to zero the BSI.Read the dump, put on here, and will be sorted. It's probably a Siemens BSI in this case.

8th November, 2014, 01:13 PM
ok thank, eeprom is st c66cm3, can i use 95040 st? It is bsi siemens..

Johnner
8th November, 2014, 01:19 PM
Just read the c66

alfons37
8th November, 2014, 01:22 PM
I read st 93c66 and work, when you change file in cluster, do you change fairchild file? I think so i write back with fairchild :)

Johnner
8th November, 2014, 01:27 PM
I changed the Fairchild file. The other two were identical 8 bit files.

Johnner
8th November, 2014, 01:32 PM
Write this file back to the bsi.......

alfons37
8th November, 2014, 01:46 PM
It not work it show 999999 :)

Johnner
8th November, 2014, 01:53 PM
Did you put the BSI back in first ?

Wait a second, did you write the Fairchild file back to the dash ? If so,it's not going to work. Maybe I picked it up wrong from what you said. ???

alfons37
8th November, 2014, 01:57 PM
I write new file from to cluster "406 210000kms.rar" and write new zero file to bsi, and install both box in car and test.

Johnner
8th November, 2014, 02:22 PM
I've changed a small bit of data in file here. You'll have to go through unplugging, rewriting to bsi,and plugging bsi back first before dash.

alfons37
8th November, 2014, 02:33 PM
give exact 2 files for bsi and cluster and i write this :)

alfons37
8th November, 2014, 02:35 PM
thought so that we do not misunderstand each other, can not solder too many times, the pads go bad :)

alfons37
8th November, 2014, 03:08 PM

I think you will find that if you change 000F to 0000 at the start of line 010h, it will help cure the 999,999 problem but you must reprogram the bsi to zero and the dash to the mileage again. Arthur.

9th November, 2014, 03:06 PM
I have try change in bsi file and try,(captain crackers, i dont test your solution , this happening when i try set km to 0 in bsi file) but after i change file to 0 i cant start car, i test write back orginal to bsi-cluster from beginning but car not start, have it lost immo? it say immo fault in display, can anyone help me with pincode so i can use pp2000 for adapt immo.

alfons37
9th November, 2014, 03:38 PM
I think maybe i need adapt bsi to ecu, or is lost with key?

This is a dash dump from 406 2.0HDI BR km is 282857 Right side in picture is bsi reset to zero.

alfons37
9th November, 2014, 04:08 PM
So i can use this file on my car you mean :)?

kelekele
9th November, 2014, 04:34 PM
@Alfons
Now you have immo problem beacuse your dump from bsi is damaged. If you have original dump ,first time readed, put them back to bsi and car will start.Must to know is your instrument cluster with 5 clocks or with 4 clocks? In cluster with 5 clocks is difficult change km.

alfons37
9th November, 2014, 05:28 PM
Yes it is corrupted, but i have write back orginal . But car not start. It say p1612 on engine ecu and bsi say need coding key (p0506 and p0606 and 53,63 read with v30, could not communication with pp2000)
This car from person they have try change km on cluster and bsi.
This car comes from someone who tried to change the mile, but have done a poor job, it can be seen on the cluster to image the work they performed. So I do not have the original dump from beginning, but the car has started all the time but the cluster says 999999. Starting to wonder if I should buy BSI and cluster (not new) used and start over with the work.

alfons37
9th November, 2014, 07:31 PM
Now i order 1 pcs used cluster (217000) and 1 pcs used bsi with same number.

If i understand this correctly:

Install new cluster in car
Resolder eeprom from bsi and read pin and make this in zero/0 mode (solder back)
Install bsi first in car, after this cluster (without touch ignition key)
After this Set ignition on, and now automatic car read bsi km from cluster.
After this use pp2000 and recoding key with pincode.

Are this OK :)

Test this file and report. Before write, please tell what exactly km is on it.Is it in miles or km ?
286486
Post here and dump from dash.
Firs must connect bsi with 0 km and then dash with changed to desired km.

alfons37
17th November, 2014, 07:47 PM
It is km, i have buy another used cluster, i think i dont need read eeprom, think bsi read km from used cluster.

kelekele
17th November, 2014, 07:55 PM
o.k.
must importent is know km before change in bsi but if you dont know, you only must test multiple calculations

alfons37
17th November, 2014, 08:27 PM
So if i understand can i test your file 406.bsi.0km.zip (http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/attachments/f174/286486d1416249575-peugeot-406-st-2-0-kombi-2000-rfr-999999-cluster-problem-406.bsi.0km.zip)??

alfons most important part is you have to post a bsi file with known km there are a few different versions..
when you have the new dash and new bsi don't do nothing plug all into the car and watch the display how many km it display..
the car wont start because of immo in bsi ..then we can work out exactly which version bsi you have and 0 that and transfer old immo data in the new bsi also the vin no.. and adjust km in dash..

also the first bsi c66 read data looks good vin VF38ERFRE811024 PIN UW9Y are present..
because of unknown km the address is unknown so you have to try multiple times,
but if you follow the above the km for bsi address will be discovered and can then adjust to 0

alfons37
18th November, 2014, 08:55 AM
Not work. I dont know km on both bsi, but both is post here. What is next step :)??

kelekele
18th November, 2014, 11:01 AM
I think problem is in dash calculation.

alfons37
18th November, 2014, 04:34 PM
So next step is read eeprom in new cluster i buy?

kelekele
18th November, 2014, 06:26 PM
Read dump from dash and read again from that bsi to see is it changed something in dump.

alfons37
19th November, 2014, 12:48 PM
It dont work, i 0 zero file with nyo4 and try in car, i use autocom and diagnos bsi and is say 1400128 km, it is of couse it be 999999, but why write file automatic to this km, cluster is 207200 km

kelekele
19th November, 2014, 03:07 PM
Put this two dumps in dash and bsi and see what's happen. You can't start car with it but you wll see is it mileage correct on dash.

Thanks
Now work km 207220 :)
I use 4EH1 and coding key with autocom and it say finish but car not start, no dtc on bsi but have dts code p1612 on ecu.

kelekele
20th November, 2014, 10:03 PM
Is it ecu locked when you look in immo parameters?
If yes, best option is to remove pin code from ecu then programm bsi pin to be same like in ecu and after that make transponder. If you can read flash from ecu, post here dump.
Edit:
Write this bsi dump in bsi eeprom and make new transponder or use old original transponder.
Pin code is UW9Y like in your original bsi dump in post nr. 11.
After this you must start car.
287125

And please change vin number in bsi to be match like on original car documents. :)

21st November, 2014, 05:17 PM
You should thank you for helping me and everyone else in this thread. Went well and pairing the key but the car did not start, removed the ground cable from the battery and re install back then it worked.
The car is working well and the mileage works, a strange thing is that when i turn on the radio so after 3 seconds, it beeps, maybe bsi wrong incorrectly configured with car radio for this car :)

Did you change VIN in dumps to match your car VIN?

kelekele
21st November, 2014, 07:28 PM
Nice to hear to your job is finish with success :)

And please change vin number in bsi to be match like on original car documents. :)
Just change vin in bsi to be same like in radio and all be fine :D

alfons37
21st November, 2014, 08:04 PM
Ok thanks i change vin with pp2000 :)

Zmann
22nd November, 2014, 04:45 AM
Can you? I think Siemens B4 when used does not allow PP2000 to edit VIN, must go chaning VIN in the radio to follow the VIN in BSI instead !

or you edit BSI VIN by a programmer
