Hi guys. Today i had remote for passat 1997. 2 butons like seat style, no flip, mark: HELLA 730955-00; 433 Mhz 5FA 007 680.
Problem is next: lamp stays alltime on ( like i am pressing it nonstop). Remote doesnt work of course.
Customer said me it was working about few months ago, just one time stop and he change batts ( 2x 2016).
After that lamp stays alltime on and kill baterries of course.
I looked at circuit board and 2 mikroswitches. All elements looks very fine, and micros too.
Transponder inside t02-start car ok. Batteries good fit- no short cuircit.
Can i fixe it and how? Thanks guys.

Seems to me that one of the switch is running all the time. Check continuity at the switches.

Could be some liquid or oil as well. Clean the PCB with alcohol and then blow it with hot air. Might help.

This info is not written by me.

Got it from Ebay a couple of years ago.

VW VOLKSWAGEN REMOTE KEY FOBS

VW/AUDI/SKODA/SEAT REMOTE KEY FOBS new or used are increasingly being
sold upon ebay by seller's who may or may not be knowledgeable of the
correct vehicle there particular key fob will match. Therefore I hope
this guide can be of use to assist other ebay users.

HERE ARE GENERALLY THE KEY PART NUMBERS AVAILABLE WITHIN THE UK.
ALTHOUGH OTHER NUMBERS PART NUMBERS USED ABROARD & UPON IMPORTS.

Also unknown knowledge to some buyers/sellers all keys purchased MUST
be programmed to the vehicle in order to activate the immo usually by
a good auto locksmith or main dealer as specialist equipment is
required to access the ECU (computer management) for security reasons.

HLO IJO 959 753 A - All vw's from 1997 - 2000. HLO
1JO 959 753 N is usable and superceeds the older oval key used
previously!

HLO 1J0 959 753 AG - vw golf's only 2000-2004. HLO
1JO 959 753 CT now superceeds the older part number hlo 1jo 959 753
AG.

HLO 1JO 959 753 AH - vw passat's/bora's generally. HLO
IJO 959 753 DA superceeds the older AH.

HLO 1JO 959 753 CT - newer vw transporters vans. Also
many of the newer vehicle's including the skoda/seat's (SUPERCEEDS THE
AG)

HLO 1JO 959 753 DA - vw polo's and some vw passat's. Also
compatable with other models (skoda/seat's)

HLO 1J0 959 753 G - vw caddy vans .
Now widely in use on a number of vehicle's as also superceeds HLO
1K0 959 753

HLO 1KO 959 753 - vw golf's/touran 2004 onwards. Now
superceeded by the HLO 1KO 959 753 G

7M3 959 753 - vw,s sharan's,alhambras, etc only.
Now superceeded by the 7M3 959 753 F

HLO 2EO 959 753 A - vw/merc crafter vans etc only

PLEASE NOTE ;- THE SEAT, SKODA KEYS & PART NUMBERS ARE THE SAME SO
INTERCHANGABLE! (TOP TIP!)

Yes, it is true. I tried most of this, works every time.
But in my case i had 5fa 007 680-old type no flip. Maybe 1j0 959753 A or N. Dont have this, so cannot try. Somebody know????

Just to correct ebay: AH works on golfs4 2000-2004(AG). I tried. So not only AG must be for these.

I had the same issue on a Skoda Octavia old type of key. 2 keys remote control working poor and the other not working at all. I had a hard time finding a replacement.
Just very expensive OEM Hella which costed 60-100 Euro+freight. Just some old products that had been in storage for a long time
Instead I bought 2 new 1JO 959 753 N and empty flip key shells + logo cap. You can either use original ID13 and program the keys into the immo with Pin.
(Or switch transponder over to new key. But be aware that they can get destroyed when trying to remove the superglue. Better to use new ones.)
Or you can actually clone the key with a T5 transponder glass or graphic both works.
Need off course to cut key blades as well.

No has remote now, customer will come back next saturday and leave it for few days. Circuit board looks PERFECT!!!! Even nobody move circuit board because 2 plastic legs which it sit on are wide on holes. i cut upside legs and pull out circuit first. Problem was lamp work alltime with no blink even press button. just light all time and kill baterries for a few minutes.
