hi there, any advice would be mucg appreciated.

recently purchased an openbox v5s, completely new to this and was wondering if it is as simple as plug it in (to TV, satellite dish, and internet) and im off ?? I have read a few threads on here and people talking about cline's and downloading software etc etc. That has me lost im affraid.
Could someone please shed some light on this and what i will need to do in order to get up and runnin??. i was told that as long as there is a satellite dish and an internet connection, i could use my openbox anywhere, just plug in and go??

thanks :)

just plug in and go??

NO, the openbox isn't as you described, plug in and go. It required a sat dish for all Free to Air channels and you require the internet for internet Apps or to illegally acquire premium channels. You however, still need to program a channel list into the box as well as having to program other things into it, have a look at this guide to give you a brief idea of what's required. Help is available from the forum with everything except the subject ozmusafir has described.

But before you start wasting your money it's worth pointing out premium HD has already gone blank and according to this thread premium SD's days are numbered to;
