SID208 with DS17

has anyone used the DS17 to read and write to a Siemens SID208 ?

The DS17 is meant to be BDM but it looks like boot mode to me as it uses same boot instructions as Galletto but different software just for tricore.

I try can't read with ds17. I'm not sure what's a problem

You have to use three resistors to the boot pins as in the wiring diagram then it will read, but it only reads a 1024kb compressed encoded full file and you need the latest winols to open it as its encrypted. I use ktag instead now. Note you can't clone sid208 as they have a serial number and when you clone them you have slight security issues like fuel pump won't cut in unless you start then restart engine.
