Hello

I am asking if anyone knows how or has heard of cracking the DDEC 3 RPM limit on a DDEC 3?

Any information will be helpful.

I have already a calibration that runs at 3000 rpm but I push another ecm and it does not work ?????????????????? http://www.mhhauto.com/images/lina/fing20.gif

How long can they run at 4000 without a disaster?

that is a good question. i'm sure it depends on alot of other things like your fuel and timing maps. I do know several guys running upto 3200 and not having trouble

I think 4000 would be fine if its under load for short periods. i have a truck for sled pulling that is running 4200-4500 at the line. its an N-14 cummins bottom end. stock steel 2 piece pistons. the ddec 3 should handle 4500

i would reccomend a ddec IV engine because of the better piston design and oil squirters. But as of right now ecm must be a DDEC III
