just tested it as well my brother E90 2007, Valet key 7936 , worked as well :D

Somebody posted about a car owner had from new, never used spare key, two years later key stolen spare key no worked ended up at dealer two new keys! Spare ended up in bin

No, it should have no effect in starting vehicle. By some types remote will not work till we start car again with orginal key.

cn2 and cn3 doesnt work on it , didnt copy , i had to use their own transponder which is listed with the tool , if u read them on tango , it says 4d and 7936
