Hi!
Please someone check if this kessy dump is correct or not. I read it with VVDI via OBD. Need it for reset MMI CP but procedure always fails. Maybe dump is not good reading and if I read directly the eeprom then, procedure should work.....

By OBD not all area readed, better read MCU directly using progammer

Kessy dump must be 93c86, or not?

What do you think? If I read kessy dump directly, procedure should work?
A friend of mine successfully adapt Central electric to another A6(with this device) but he read kessy dump through OBD(as I did) and everything worked fine. Don't know why it can't reset CP in MMI........

You are wrong gepakg (http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/members/133471-gepakg/) AVDI read full eeprom of A6/Q7 EZS via obd2 if you have working key in ignition.

i compare ETL on board reading with resoldered mcu and AVDI reading, always different size between them but also immo data same...:-)

in case all lost key situation as i know AVDI reprogram that immo block in ezs,bit risky by my opinion, better spent little time more with ETL and be safe...only demounting EZS is pain in a....:-)

In case of all key lost (if EDC16,MED9, etc) you can read 6bytes CS from ECU with 2 fuses in short.
For this car is enough only 6 bytes for make a dealer key.

I think 12 byte is in a6 transponder, only 6+pin is needed for ezs eeprom access and reading next 6byte.

I made a few A6 with all key lost situation so i speak from my experience.

yes, it is true that for all key lost you need only 6bytes and pin, but is not true that for dealer key you need only 6byte.

And how can you explain that key prepared from 6bytes from ECU is recognized by car as dealer key?

Make dealer key is active after reading ezs data. How you make dealer key with 6bytes ecu data?

Bump. I just started working on 2008 A6. the diagrams in the fvdi manual to power up the dash is different then the actual fuse panel on sides. I have a the 3.2.l version.

The customers also bought 2 remote keys form dealer. Any suggestions?

Hello.
1) when you connect jumper wire on fuse so this just leave you to have communication with engine ecu by obd2,so this not mean the dash show you ignition on.
2) go to special function & click on (EZS-KessyQ7/AS6) after auto-detect, here the avdi itself he get CS + PIN & when he show you pin + cs, turn on the (Hazard warning lamps switch) by press brake after go & write 2 keys and learn.

Ok I will try this procedure tomorrow. I will also do more research on how to bridge this exact model.

Hello.
bridge pin 1 + pin 16 on obd2 connector.

~~I tried and it does't work. I have an 3.2l version. I had to shorted through the back of the port since it impeded the avdi obd2 connection

~~Here are pictures of my fuse box. which dont exactly match the one on the manual. Any help please.

~~What is the name of the fuse connector that I am giving power too maybe I could find in the fuse diagram???

~~My xprog is down(new one on the way bc I am getting "comm errror") so I cant read the ELV(kessy).

Hello.
your fuse jumper correct, just if you have vcds or another scan tool try go to engine ecu and try diagnos, maybe your FVDI can't scan, cause the original avdi too some times can't diagnos ecu engine.
1) try disconnect battery negative cable & reconnect, after leave the door driver open + turn hazard light on,by pressing brake switch and retry read ecu.

2) what you mean (My xprog is down(new one on the way bc I am getting "comm errror") you mean you dismount ezs and you solder wires to read esz data? what kind memory in your ezs mc9s12dg256 musk 0L01y? or mc9s12XXXX ? cause there is many connections for read.
