GENERAL DISCUSSION: AIRBAG ECU REFERENCES

Hi mates,
When I?m trying to clone an airbag unit I always have problems finding another same reference unit.
Is it possible to clone to another ECU reference?
And if it?s possible, how to know wich reference is equivalent?

is possible if both units have same hardware. I do with a lot of units. But need open both units to see if is possible, some times the units look the same outside but inside are very different.
