BMW 1 series Windscreen washer problem

Guys

We got a 1 series on a 06 plate. The windscreen washers does not work. Ive topped it up. Still nothing. You go to operate the washer, the pump does not run. However try to operate the back the pump runs.

If i open the boot, the back wont operate, so, i thought maybe the bonnet senser but i dont get any alarm whilst driving about bonnet and the sensor was replaced not long ago.


Any ideas anyone????

some cars use same bottle and pump with a diverter for front or rear screen ,might be a fuse for front and one for rear,need checking hand book for fuse .other pump might also be fitted into bottle and might not work so would need checking for 12v and earth if both are there a tap of screwdriver on motor and someone pressing contact=****ed motor.

Agree with above post, vechile requires "visabale inspection for a high restancse positive connection on the fuse box area"
