Ok i thought this was same as standard integrated 3 button key fob.

steve you dont get a beep on these mate , same procedure as transit up to 2006
1) ign on and off 8 times but end up on the 8th turn leaving ignition on , so on off 7 times then on and leave on
2) door locks should cycle
3) press any button and door locks should cycle again
4) switch ign off remove key and check remote after doors cycle
NB: all doors must be shut when you do the remote coding procedure
you can use any of the 3 button remotes not just the seperate remote , so you can do all in one key and also a keydiy key , but if doing a flip key then give him a std key cut for the bonnet mate , as you dont want to go back when keydiy blkade snaps in stiff bonnet lock .
i have had these in past where faulty ignition has prevented remote coding .

A lot of these were not made with remote function, GEM module is on pass side kick panel, if it says 433mhz on it then its a remote, if not then its not, but easy to change for a doner one from another van.

could it also be that kind coding method as for ka?
there are 4 positions - 0, 1- radio, 2 - ignition on, 3 start.
ka has on/off so many times in between pos 1 and 2. not 0 -2
and you have to look at immo led light.
