BMW EWS3 issue

I had a 2003 BMW EWS3, today

I used AK90 / EFFI software non seem to program the transponder correctly,

The first time I put the EWS3 in I did manage to start the car a few times, then nothing. Tried over 5 transponder but non will crank the car.

So I had to walk away, few hours later customer called saying he found original key which no longer works (I wrote my new transponders on new slot not used slots).


I'm not sure if I damaged dump or not, has anyone come across this befoe?

Are you sure it's not 0 261 203 474?
i think it may be the 68 pin chip

remove the
sticker and you'll see.

You probably don't have the programmer to read it. I would suggest using INPA to read the ISN.

And I don't think this ECU is paired with EWS3. Probably older version.

Get a different EWS and program a new transponder.
And see if the car will crank.
