No internet connection

Hi guys I've just bought a kindle fire hd for my mums Xmas. She loves to play scrabble and I've got her the scrabble app- but it requires an Internet connection and she doesn't have nor need Internet. My question is would it be possible to make the kindle device think that it is connected to the Internet when it is not. Is there a way to do this.

As far as i'm aware the Kindle, like any net enabled device, is either connected to the net or it isn't.
I doubt there will be a way to fool it into thinking it is connected,if the game does not require a net connection then why worry ?
Alternatively if you have a mobile with a data plan then use the mobile as a wireless hotspot , just remember to password it or your neighbours can piggy back on it.
