View Full Version : can't read Motorola in a Yazaki Dashboard

Hi. how i can read the Motorola MC68HC08AZ32 ?

This Processor is in a Volvo V70 dashboard from 1999. The Processor has 100Pin. I can't find a Datasheet with 100 pins from this processor. what can i do? i like to correct the km because i changed the dashboard. is there any other way to do this? i need your help, thanks a lot!

MC68HC908AB/AZ (QFP100)
30 - Vss (Prog. GND)
44 - PTA0 ( Prog. RxD)
2 - IRQ (Prog. Vpp (9V))
3 - RST (Prog. RST)
96 - PTC0 (logic 1 (thru 1k Ohms to Vdd) )
97 - PTC1 (logic 0)
99 - PTC3 (logic 0)
95 - OSC1
31 - Vdd

Looks like a pin needs to be lifted to enable read/write

damn, now the clock don't work. still show the same time. i have 2 dashboards, and both have now the same problem after try to read Motorola! Damn :( ......who knows this Dashboard?

These motorolas has a protection, your programmer should have an ability to find security code (from library or brute force)...

The only sure and (safe) way to do these dashboards ...is to remove the micro and read out of circuit ...BUT for that you need A dedicated 908 programmer..the apropriate adapter ..and the ability to edit the encryption.. A lot of work (and expense ) to remove a few KM's...I have seen dozens of these dashes blown.doing them in circuit..(blown a couple myself)
