currently for the 4 button megane phase 3 cards , ad100 pro will do some of the early ones but the only tool that currently does these fully by obd reliably is abrites avdi and they only released this about 6 months ago , though chris at truecode is working hard on this one and is close to releasing it.
so for now to guarantee success abrites is only choice on these , but truecode will release this early next year

Abrites and truecode are the front runners in renault coverage , both reliable , with both having better coverage on certain things than the other , but currently for phase 3 cards its abrites until truecode releases these , both fantastic software to have

truecode is simplest to use , does what it claims and chris works hard to bring us good coverage , he is also a hard working home grown developer that deserves to be supported , his prices are keen and he only releases when hes happy its spot on , you wont regret investing in his kit , his nissan software is also superb.

Hi estate wasn't it a long time till you see 2012+ 2011 ish :chuncky:

as far as I know it's avdi only, AD until 2011 but be careful as you can get caught out with AD on early 2011

Lol, yes it was :D been asked to do a few spare cards recently for new Renault stuff by a local car sales, and the amount will more than cover the cost of a Truecode module :)

but not an avdi module then :)

How much work are you going to loose while you are waiting for a truecode module? I know AVDI is expensive, but if you have that many jobs waiting (and if you are charging the right price!!) then AVDI should pay for itself very quickly, and your customers wont go elsewhere, where the may not come back.

Yeah ninja's right if you haven't got avdi it's worth it just with the psa and gm pin code reading it will pay for it self and more by saving time and money for pin codes.

I don't have the Renault at the min but I heard at the last AD show they have done the 2011+ Megane but they don't seem to be in any rush to release the software so unsure if it's true but if I start missing out on jobs I'll have to get it.

main reason for me getting it was Psa pin read and a lot more gm pin reading than AD including insignia and meriva b key programming and a few more reasons

I want to get a programmer for renault cards. Avdi license for renault with promo discount will be like 1800?

How much its worth truecode only for renault cards? Any promotion on Christmas? :D

if you want to do the later megane 3 cards at present , then avdi is your only choice , RROO7 and RR008 have been released for this coverage already by abrites .

the question for you is , can you make back the cost of the avdi and software , if so buy it , if not dont , simples .

Just looked at the AVDi site and pricing etc and started to think that as a modular set up that i can add to as and when, that it was a worthwhile investment, but then i saw that the Renault Software alone was ?2500+Vat! Farkinell!!!!! lol! i admire anyone who has the minerals to invest that sort of money.....

2500e, 2000e if they giving 20% off, so ~?1,585.72 plus avdi interface

not too bad as truecode would probably be about this for full renault when/if they get the new renault working

really good if you have no renault coverage already, even at 75 quid profit a key its only 20 odd keys

The cost of the cards puts people off - definitely for local car sales estate.

Best jobs are lost keys/cards - then charge enough to get kit back :)

really it comes down to the maths , the advantage abrites gives you for a period of time until others catch up , can you make it pay or not is the question and equation .

i bought when renault software was cheaper , but have spent this sort of figure overall adding on the upgrades as released , it all depends how many of these you will turn away by not having the coverage , every business and every user will differ as whether it will pay for them or not , so very much an individual question and answer , if you can make it pay then its a no brainer , if you cant its also a simple answer .

you must get past the shock of the initial cost , and look at it as a business decision , will you make it pay or not .

once you have it , upgrade prices are not too painful as in line with others prices and you are ahead of most in coverage .

you think renault is dear , dont look at vag package

just look at the ford software, I charge more than ford dealers for lost keys on 2011 onwards, and I get the jobs as I am mobile, and there is no recovery charge, and virtually no wait time = happy customer and happy me :)
