UPA-S.. what works . By Captain C ... :)

Of course it can but not by just the Transit 95320 program. The Digi has an eeprom editor and it can be done using that. All it needs is a bit of thought and a bit of knowledge. So far I have done all of them with a UPA-S but I would have no problem using the eeprom editor on the Digi. Arthur.
How reliable are you finding the new upa?

So far EEproms 100% ok , 912/s12, it is better to set the osc. khz manually, then it's ok. It's not reliable on Auto khz with the later micro's IE. 9s12xdt384. I have not been able to read an Infineon micro XC2361A-56F, I am waiting for some help from Penko. All in all everything you would expect from Elrasoft. Only one thing, the 9 pin Dsub is the opposite way round to the old UPA which is not really a problem but I had to turn the socket round on my in circuit box. Arthur.

Has anyone had any problems reading 9s12H256 with new UPA-s. The new 1 reads all crazy data but if I switch to old upa unit it reads perfect. Any ideas.??

testit34, if you read my previous post, you would see I wrote "set the osc. khz manually, then it's ok. It's not reliable on Auto khz ". I have had this problem and this is how Penko told me to cure it, which it does. Arthur.

testit34, Wrong, Penko was right. I just passed it on to save you emailing him. Actually, he knows more about the UPA-S than anyone on here.

Penko has just sent me a message saying that the 912/s12 not working properly on auto khz will be fixed in the next update . Until then set the khz manually. Arthur.

Used the new UPA-S to do a 2014 Fiesta (9s12XEQ384). Set osc. to 8.000 read/verified/wrote/verified OK. first time. Not sure if it can be done without lifting the reset pin because with the old UPA I had to lift it, so I thought I would lift it anyway. Arthur.

This thread is about UPA-S , Have they cloned it already or are you asking for connections for original UPA? I dont have clone but help screen is part of software in my original.
