I bay from one crash car : Gateway , Control Head Interface 4E0035729, Display, Console.
From second crash car I bay Amplifier, Tuner modul , Navigation modul , CD changer modul ....
I make assemble for all unit on table and working , normal but not have sound because … becouse all unit not from same car and now sure have active CP.

Please if i m right:

Modul - Tuner and modul Navigation from mmi2g dont have CP ... is it corect ?
Modul - CD charger, Control Head Interface, Amplifier have .CP and mast disable or pair with gateway ?

General ... what me need to pair all this modul on table to have sound ?

Hello, is there any comfortable way, how to read this eeprom of MMI 2G without soldering or special clamps?
Basically... I have 2 MMIs, one as a spare coming from crashed car that I no longer have. Then, I have mine full working, except the thing that there is FBAS missing, so instead of soldering so many components, i would like to exchange my main MMI 2G HIGH for that one, that I have as a spare, but with FBAS (i have rear view camera preparation and hybrid tv-tuner prepared for installation). Is there any way how to put it in my car and make it working? I have VAS, AVDI2018, KESS and VCDS available, but no idea how to make it...

Can anybody be so kind and help me? I am solving this for 5th day and Im starting to get really crazy...

Yes I done my research and i know about this,but what Pipina does its something else...as i can see he modifies the original eeprom dumps and kinda disables component protection.
Removing component protection is not as easy.CAn gateway eeprom need to be modified as well in a normal case.
Correct me if im wrong.

Thanks A4rek. I have tried this method but I can't seem to read anything off the eeprom chip from the dead MMI unit.
I first tried reading the eeprom using VAG CAN Pro but it wasn't able to connect to the unit. So I removed the eeprom from the dead unit and bought the CH431A programmer with an adapter to fit the size of eeprom chip, but can't seem to get it to work. The programmer is supposed to be able to detect the chip model, size, etc.. but mine doesn't. The chip in the documentation you linked states the chip model is an Atmel AT24C64A. The chip I'm working with is labeled completely different:
ATP718
64DD B
A96J7E

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Hi, 3G totaly different than 2G. It is possible to align 3G also by dump but much more complicated and diferent sw versions have different adress. About make it off I try but was unable to make it - for now :)

I am trying to replace my headunit as is broken.
Original head unit is a RMC Ccnt Nav 8x0.035.193F SW 0801 - HW H53 Audi A1
I have been able to have nav and bose as fitted from factory however when i plug my new head unit i get the dreaded CP.

I do not have vcds or any eeprom reading tools so wondered how i can get it to work correctly.
I have been reasearching every method and i noticed this fantastic forum so i prey you can help.

I have access to the original unit along with the activation code that came with the car.
I am wanting to upgrade to the mmi version with the silver trim can this be done with my bose setup also

I have an Audi A6 C6 MMI 2G high. I changed the audio system with a BOSE one.
Now, due to CP the amplifier is not working correctly.

Now, I opened the amplifier and read the 2x
EEPROMs, but im struggling removing the CP. Could you please help me?

My original amplifier is not the bose one so is not got the same eeprom to copy from it.

I attached the dump files here.

If if you have EEPROM virgind dump files, please post.

i have seen that if you turn off cp you lose coding and you never can do coding with cp off dump...

Hi, strange never have problem with coding after cp off. Did you check with VCDS instalation list?

How did you solve the CS with the bin file extracted from 24c64a? Please help me with this file. Q7 CP MMI 2G. Why do you have password on the fixed file? What's the different between making virgin and remove component protection?

The sound works as by default, the CP no longer there, but the suspension menu disappeared, I had to turn on the Green Menu to enable everything back, BUT the Telephone BT no longer exist, I did check in the CAN GATEWAY, it's enabled but the MMI doesn't see the or load the Telephone Menu. If I programmed the OLD 24c64a to the new one, everything works and also the CP is removed also. Can you fix the last image for the BT to work?

It's my mistake, everything works perfectly, the BT must be turned on using hidden menu and select UHV/BTA since I no longer have any phone hooked up.
