you can adapt secondhand cluster to the ecu

the original dash is down to nothing works (failure) he went to repair and 24C04 was broken
the dash that I find no not have the same code
This is why I wanted to put a virgin and recode with VAS5054 or vcds (vin immo key ...)

Virgin dahs can be done only Via OBD.

Yes it will help if you Virgin dash to Mode 04. This is Rb4 Immo 3 and it can be done with VCDS once you put dash in Virgin/New 04 mode.

Looks like a valid dump,
Vin: WAUZZZ8H83K032681
Part: 8H0 920 930D
mileage : 94992

Your first dump was:

Wrong, you need to adopt cluster to ECu not ECU to cluster.
This is immo 3 and does not need tp24canbus , ID 48 will work. Also if you replacing cluster old keys will work , it does not need new transponder.

strange.... that all my Audi B6's are running after my method done.

It will work the way you said but VIN number will be different form car. Because if you adopt ECU to second hand cluster , ECU will get VIN form that cluster , not from car.
That is why you need to adopt cluster to ECU , Not ECU to cluster ,So adaptation needs to be done in Cluster at Ch 50 , not in ECU.

hello
can you confirme my pin code in the ecu 24C04
THANK FOR YOUR HELP

Pin = 01360.
Now, put new cluster to New Mode.
After that ,
With VCDS go to Instruments -17
Go to adaptation -10
Ch 50
READ
In New value put Pin = 01360
Click TEST - wait till in left upper corner you see VIN
Click SAVE
Do it,
Close controller and go out,
Turn ignition off .
Wait 30 Sec.

With VCDS go to Instruments -17
Go to adaptation -21 and adopt keys.
