Ford Transit Blue remote whats missing

Hi hopefully someone can help. This is the only one of these I have at the moment so i could do with fixing it but haven't got another to check against. The transponder reads fine but not the remote. I'm missing a component circled in red. Anyone know what should be there and its value?

C8 = capacitor. what value tho? prob just steel off another board and ok.

But I'm betting it'll still won't work. These fobs aren't that expensive to replace

Nope there not expensive and I'll order some more next week but needed one for today for a lost keys job and everyone's shut until Monday.

alot of em tend to be de-coupling capacitors - ie smoothing and not important.
I've tried repair work before and found its the pcf chip / or in this case some other important part. Time vs cost

strange why they go wrong. maybe esd from finger when rubber fails and touches pcb

Fresh battery in and new switches tried a load of different capacitors on it earlier and not getting a peep out of it so time for the bin. I wouldn't normally bother but had this one lying around from a previous job. I used to mess around changing switches and batteries on these but they go so wrong I just replace them now. The last one I had that went wrong was really odd. Remote worked fine until you used the key in the ignition and then you had to re sync it before it would work again. If you used a different key to start the van it was fine.
Done standard keys on the van now they will have to wait until next week for the remote
