I have a Dreambox running a Digitalworldz image aswell as my dbox2.
In the blue button menu on the Dreambox I have the option to backup either locally or remotelly my service & bouquet files. Does anyone know of a dbox2 image that offers this feature

You can easily do this by using the Yweb interface of the dbox.

Hook your box and comp to your LAN or direct via crossover.

open up your browser, type dbox2s ip (ie: 192.168.XXX.XXX).

Now you can navigate to the tools tab and on the left click on zappit, now you can save your bowks + services to your comp.

Thanks for the quick responce but I meant WITHOUT using a PC

The setup I'm talking about backs up the services & bouquets to the actual box, then if you have a problem say after running a new channel scan you can easily reinstate the old files

You can backup the image to the /tmp folder, but you will lose it after a re-boot. You can copy your services.xml to another folder using Tuxbox commander, but remember there is limited memory in the d-box2
