Need some help with this one guys... 2005 year...
Is there anyway I can read pre-coding via EEPROM and write with Effi ?
Never done this with VAG before. I've heard they're encrypted etc...

Cant do this by obd, SVDI has had a shit... :mad-new:

I'm with car now, so any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

If it is Micronas, you must read flash and eeprom, and I tell you how to do with effi.
If it is Fujitsu, you must make flash programmer for Fujitsu, and also read flash and eeprom.

This is the only possible way via eeprom.

I need to edit this tread. This covers VAGinstrument clusters only (VW, Skoda, Seat) with Micronas processor. Not sure about the Audi A3.

Maybe this could help you.
SuperVAG has introduced solution for ALL KEY LOST SITUATION (no key) and without soldering and without external programmer
VDO NEC (2009 and further)
VDO Mirconas (2006 to 2009).

Below you can find instruction videos for NEC and Micronas:
http://youtu.be/51Cargn0ELs (http://youtu.be/51Cargn0ELs)
http://youtu.be/OIFF8eMg29g (http://youtu.be/OIFF8eMg29g)

SuperVAG is compatible with Tango. You need only latest SuperVAG update "SuperVAG KEY 2014.3" and special add-on cable.
Also need subscription for 2014 or 2015 to make it work.

SVDI will work , when all key lost you need read micronas and eprom and load on SVDI will change the file write it back to chip , then can add key by obd .

Got carprog. What chip need read? How do I do it with this. Never used it, just been lying in the 'crap' box...

Thanks simaservis. Dealer key is not an option for 6 weeks or more and guy needs his car driving.
Which eeprom needs read?

My SVDI is dead mate. Hence why I'm just wondering if there is another solution out there.

Can I read flash by obd with something like VAGDASH ? or must be read with programmer?

For Micronas,you use Xprog.
For Fujitsu, you use Fujitsu Flash Programmer.

Eeprom only is not an option, because decryption keys are in flash.

2005 a3 is probably fujitsu dash. You need tool that will be able to read important data from ram. On early fujitsu work vagdashcan, on both fujitsu versions work good xcan.
