Looked at this today for a mate. He checked the glow plugs! All he did was pull the "y" air duct out of the way, pulled the glow plug caps off, tested resistance of all 6 glow plugs. Replaced everything, now car is a non starter. The rad fan is blowing full speed with ign on but no crank. A quick scan shows no comms with ecu and can faults everywhere and esp fault on dash. He has checked all fuses etc and re checked all the connecters he may have disturbed. He now looks at me with the <I just lost my puppy> eyes. Just cant think where to start. Any ideas anyone,

Time to get the wiring diagram out. Start checking power/earth at the ecu. Not so nice for your mate.

Got more time to look at this today. Under hood fuse box had water ingress. Fusebox lid not fitted correctly. Think it was fuse 20 or 50 corroded underneath. Cleaned up with new fuse, FIXED.
