Hi.
Could some one help me to change VIN in CAS4 eeprom, motorola 1L15Y MC9S12XDP512CA.
New VIN : WBSFV91080 DW94372
CAS4 9226587
I need this for testing on bench.

there must be some CRC because when i change VIN i eeprom and connect AVDI ID "00000000000000000"

Premier,

There is chksumm of vin... simple sum of all bytes.
Uif is at the end of the file and it is basically only last 7 digits of vin.
Isn is AA37 in this file and it has chcksumm, which is too fairly simple.

In order to change vin correctly, you must change uif too. Otherwise your vin gets resets. if you read back after you got vin0000000000.. check the location of vin, and it will be deleted.
Oh and basically for ista to recognize the module corectly, uif is enough. You can programm cas with ista/p after uif change and it will change vin for you....

I'm pretty sure isn is AA37.
I usually dont use isn editor, but i just double checked, and it is indeed AA37.

in CAS4 crc for vin is not on the next bite of vin i have check 2 eeprom from CAS4 1L15Y and next bite is always AA
