Anyone has any info about it ? Wt actually it do and how it works cz they didn't mention it in the email they sent me. On their website if u buy it u get 3 free tokens on sonderhash.com !!! Do know why ? Maybe to erase a module we need to by a virgin file ?!

Seems like a simple device to renew those units using the "dealer passwords" calced/bought from their sonderhash website.

I've got another reply from noimmo about them,

"The software application works on android - you can install it for free from Googleplay - MBHASH.

When you connected to the ECU you have option UNLOCK ECU - if you click it - sw will send challenge
to www.sonderhash.com to calculate unlock has and get response. One token on server will be use."

Sounds cool item that works online and Bluetooth, just a clarify u think what they mean with unlock an ECU means renew the ECU to adapt it to other cars ?!

I think same function like in Mercedes Instrument ,i use this ,
you can make ECU virgin in seconds without open, using dealer password,
one token is 50 usd = one password

You absolutely right, this is simple unlocking / renewing service. But ! You Not Need investition in to expensive devices. If You need to unlock / renew MB ECU without openning - You need very cheap devices - for example ELM327 compatible Bluetooth interface from China for 9 eur. Only one problem - service guaranted with original (extended) interface. You can buy them from noimmo.lt or from sonderhash.com directly for only :) 150 Eur. Account registration on sonderhash - is separate service, registraion/activation price is 300 Eur and included three tokens (credits). Additional tokens, You must buy separately.


Difference with noimmo.lt "Magic Eraser" and ELM327 - extended protocol support ( i.e. K-Line protocol for ESL and CAN-Bus for MB) and future support.


With sonderhash.com and appropriate interface You Can :


if You use ELM327 bluetooth - can unlock any MB ECU - Motor, Gearbox VGS2NAG2(3), Servo - (ISM/DSM)


with "Magic Eraser" from noimmo.lt You can additionaly unlock/renew W204 /W212 /W207 ESL and also old ELV from previous MB series - but this is expensive for this work... And You can unlock / renew some new ECU from W166/ W177 / W246 / W207/ W204 / W221/ W906 and etc...

Aren't there any bleutooth Chinese one that support can bus ? which might be cheaper then the magic eraser ?

Yes, ELM327 support Kline, but only with standard protocol, same situation with CAN-Bus. In Magic Eraser hardware - realized also non-standard (mercedes specific) protocols and specific requests.

I Try to explain You. To unlock ECU , You need readout "sonder hash" (special hash),
and then You need calculate unlock hash and send it to ECU. If this hash is correct and data structure in ECU in normal state - ECU will be unlocked (or renewed).


Next step - You personalise ECU with different data, from another car, and this dataset have different sonderhash than previously stored in ECU, and to unblock (renew) ECU You need calculate unlock hash for actual sonderhash.


But the way to safe Your money - after personalisation not activate ECU before You check them functionality on the car. In This case ECU remain unblocked and re-personalisation is possible.

722.8 does not need renew mate. it is not DRT.
It needs only online SCN coding on the car with Star Diagnosis.

Don't think so because to renew NEC EZS you need to have dealer password (which is what they charge tokens for) AND ezs/key password.

Yes, except EIS since it needs an extra field to be renewed (EIS/Key password).

I programmed a lot of ECUs and never an issue but with this TCU I always get personalization unsuccessful. Does it require any extra steps?

You just need star no need for online access. Only ecu I ran into so far that needs online SCN coding was 7G tcu

But to much money and monopoly over reset hash password, you cant enter manualy reset hash if you use other online services. You must buy their reset password.. there is cheaper for 30usd. And there is cheaper tool MBCan for that job.

Almost all tools when renew any ECU in any MB need full coding.
