new GM or Buick SRS module from the dealership, is it locked

customer called me with 2010 buicl lacrosse v6, 2012 ford expedtion
changed srs new from dealership.

is it possible to reset new module by scanner or it is like ford need dealer level scanner with subscritions
can we do it with tech 2 clone chines??

any advises on GM and Ford new module how to unlock them to the car, thanks

you need programming setup new module and setup new module part number in BCM to the car,

do i have to buy subscrpition form the dealership, or can be done with scanner,

The buick will need GDS2 subscription which you can buy just the two day, as for the ford, you just have to do AS-Build Data with IDS and no subscription needed
