Hi all,

All greek channels that were recently unscrambled (ALPHA,MEGA, SKAI, STAR etc.) have suddenly become scrambled today, any have any idea why? I thought it may have been the phantompatch so i updated patch 8/5/14 to 1/9/14 on the TM5302 but they remain scrambled. I've looked in the download centre for a newer phantompatch update but there doesn't seem to be any? 1/9/14 seems to be the latest.

Anyone have any idea as to why they have suddenly become scrambled and can suggest a solution?

All help much appreciated! Thank you.

Hi mdt, thanks for the reply.

When you say the key has changed i take it you mean the b*** key? I know you state that it's the same as on 12.702.H/12.720.H, but what exactly do you mean by this? I'm still a bit of an amateur with all this. Sorry.

Having a quick search on google i have found this site (http://i.i-freesat.com/archive/index.php/thread-16133-6.html) where it states the key on 12.720.H is 11 11 11 ** ** ** ** 33. Do i simply replace the existing key to this key and that is all?

Again, thanks for the reply, very much appreciated.

Ok, so i changed ALPHA's b*** key on the TM5302 to the above (11 11 etc) but it still remains scrambled.

Any ideas?

Hi..You need to be on the channel before you enter the key and also you may need to enter 16 zero's at the end to make it a 32 digit key... also are you sure that the key is the latest one. I think there are two different frequencies for the Digea Greece channels on 3 east and they use two different set of keys. I check them out later and see what keys are available.

Thanks for the reply. I was not on the channel when changing the key so i will try that. Also never tried adding 16 more zeroes, so will give that a go too.

As for having the right key, i'm not entirely sure. Am i allowed to post the full key on here? It's the one with six 1s then a double 3 and then another six 1s followed by another double 3. The one i had it on previous to that which was working but now is scrambled was the one with DD at the start and 8D at the end.

Thanks.

Tried changing key on channel but still the same. Also, on the TM5302 it wont allow me to add another 16 digits.

Below is a snapshot of what i am getting after updating to the latest phantompatch and then softcam (i changed the ALPHA key to 11 etc)

Hi.. Are you on the correct frequency ie 12702H and 12720H s/r 13960. For the TM5303 if it only has 16 digits then it only requires 16 digits and not 32. Nothing to do with Phantom patch or softcam as these only relate to CAS menu keys. I will double check channels later and let you know also keys for Nerit channels on this satellite are available will post them later.

The Biss keys are readily available and up to date by member @mdt in this post here: http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/showthread.php/311910-53EAST-TO-30WEST-B-I-S-S-KEYS?p=2469856&viewfull=1#post2469856

I just checked and all keys are bang up to date

Got it working. Truth be told, more by luck than a light bulb moment.

With the 5402 it was simply replacing the key with the '11' key and all was done, all channels unscrambled. Simple. But the 5302 is pretty troublesome, not just on this occasion but on other occasions also. Will possibly look to replace in the future. Anyway, what i did i presume will likely be of no help to others in the same boat, as it really does seem like random luck. But i will detail what happened just in case it might be of help to someone somewhere.

Basically, what happened was that i reset all the B*** keys that i changed last night by installing the softcam key once again in order to start afresh, and this time rather than changing the B*** key for ALPHA i changed it for Skai and for some reason this unscrambled both ALPHA and ANT1, but not SKAI, STAR, MEGA etc. So i then changed the frequency to 12720H for MEGA to try and unscramble that too and again, nothing. So i changed it back to 12568H and gave up for the morning.

This evening i went back into the B*** menu and back to MEGA and selected it, selected save and exit without altering any data whatsoever and for some utterly bizarre reason all the channels then became unscrambled. No idea why, and it really was as simple as that.

Thanks to all that helped, was very much appreciated.

Thanks.

After re-reading my post, i just wanted to clarify something that may not have been entirely clear in my above post. When i reset all b*** keys back to what they were by installing the softcam key, and then changing ALPHA to the '11' key nothing changes, all remains scrambled (i tried this on several occasions). But when going through the same process and then changing Skai first , both ALPHA and ANT1 become unscrambled. Again, no idea why it would logically work that way but thought i'd mention it for the benefit of anyone else that may be in the same infuriating situation.

Hi glad you got it sorted. In theory when you have multiple channels on same frequency and same BISS key it does not matter which channel you enter the key on as the BISS menu will memorize the frequency and key and open channels accordingly. Remember there will be times when channels will be on same frequency but use different keys. You will then need to enter each key on different BISS line for each channel. Another point to remember is that after you have entered and saved the key you may need to go to a different channel and then go back to the channel you are trying to open. Regards

^ Thanks for that, was not aware of any of the above, and with regards to your first point that certainly does explain certain things that had my brain in knots earlier. I mean, i knew through experience that changing one BISS key unlocked certain other channels but was not aware that the reason behind that was due to the channels sharing the same frequency.

Thanks again,
Clive.

Hi.. Thats ok as we all learn something new everyday. If i remember correctly the same thing applies to the channels on 27 west same frequency same BISS key and all the channels open. Not sure if you aware but if you come across channels with CCW-DCW keys you will need to enter these keys in the same way as you do for BISS keys. Only difference is that BISS keys are 16 digit long and CCW are 32 digit long.

Regards.

Hi, thanks for that. Not heard of CCW or DCW keys before, whats the difference between those and a BISS key?

Also, is there a recommended site where i can find up to date CCW-DCW keys? I'm aware of mdt's very helpful thread on here for up to date BISS keys but cannot seem to find any threads regarding CCW/DCW keys.

Thanks.

They are very rarely used now or should i say 'Found' due to there longetivity Biss seems to be the most common format, CCW & DCW keys only last a few hours compared to Biss which can last months
