kess v2 2.08 wont read mondeo tdci with delphi555 it will id the ecu perfectly but when i try to read i get error (change of session not possible) this is the 4th ford with this ecu it will not read is there solution.

hi mate try with more voltage (14-14,5V).

ive tried with power supply without power supply lights on lights off still the same apparently alientech don't know why some will read them some wont. i think maybe bdm or k-tag is there a method to do it on the bench without opening the ecu.

are you sure it is mpc555, not 5566? what engine, year and kw?

its 2005 2.0tdci ive tried 115 and 130bhp family 117.ive even taken the ecu out of one to check.

Your kess original or clone? i ask because that sentence "apparently alientech don't know why some will read them some wont" sounds strange :)

euro clone but i have asked the question to alientech via a dealer.

Dealer took you off himself, all kessv2 original read write without problems all ford ecus visteon and delphi j1850pwm. Is clones what fail. I have 2 clonrs, one of them like yours only ids and then errors with "cannot change session" and another one that works flawlessly. Rea write those ecus in less than 5 min.

Tested also original kess from a friend, works super on them.

Sorry to tell your clone is faulty like one of mine. Still investigating how to make it work. ;)

use newest firmware and Reworked device.

Firmware is not the problem, even 1.89 can do it fine if the hardware is ok in the PCB.
