Hi all
Does anybody have a PDF or diagram showing EPROM or connection points for this cluster pls.
Ive looked through other threads on here but the cluster is not the same.
This cluster has 3 pods with 3 separate needles - temp/speedo/fuel, and miles are in a separate display above.
Thanks

Those connections are correct BUT you must short the oscillator EVEN if using in-circuit dongle to r/w.
Unfortunately I didnt clip the oscillator and i had a nightmare with this dash yesterday, top half of dump was corrupt when saved, now I have a dash where fuel gauge & temp gauge are not working. I've tried 2 or 3 dumps which I've found on the forum but the result is the same so maybe the micro has been damaged too? Does anybody have a uk dump for this car please..1.4 engine, manual transmission. Mileage not a problem.
Thanks

I took needles off front and shorted direct. Next time I reprogram this cluster I'll see if possible from back and if it is then I'll post a nice little pic :)
Just need the correct dump first to try lol

Yes needles are fine to take off, twist anti clockwise whilst pulling. Make sure to mark where they rest first as the fuel & temp gauges rest quite low. Yes tssop mate, I took it off the board to read with upa but kept getting ORG error (which I've not had in the past) hence the reason why I ended up connecting to rear of board. Guess it was one of those clusters which was determined to give me grief lol Sh!t happens !!!

I guess if you read on board with a tool that has voltage adjustment would have worked as you can put voltage down to 2.5 if needs be. Thanks for your help

There you go, my friend!
temp/speedo/fuel, and miles are in a separate display on the top (USA market)
To read successfully on this kind of Civic's with c76 (and c86 on Accord's too with TSSOP) there are at least 3 methods - 1. desolder the eeprom; 2. lower down voltage on programmer to 3.6 v or ever lover; 3. the best method (I mean to save your time) is where you have to cut power from rest of the print board circuit (if it possible). Shorted crystal doesn't help. What's happening if you have read in-circuit method on this Honda's boards - in the beginning the rest of the circuit board is like a discharged capacitor lowering down the working voltage below stable limit thus corrupts the dump you are working on. So thinks twice before you get mistake. Regards
