I read one EDC17 in Audi A4 with MPPS v16. I think I have good EU clone, wich wasn't cheap. Another EDC17 I read in boot mode with galletto v54 good china clone but not cheap like standard china clones, my costs 450euros... Do job perfectly..

When you have problem, just try this way: uninstall all fgtech software. Instal basic version. connect tool and give drivers. unplug tool. remove basic. instal Win7 version. plug tool + drivers. Done.

Yes, kess works well. Need to be refixed/reworked and fw updated, like 2.08 what is available. No need even try with chinese clones.

I use byteshooter does most ecus obd2, inclusively edc17 first models until 2009, first generation. For late edc17 byteshooter reads very good on table, only resistor adding is needed. Form what i know cmdflasher can read and write all edc17 by obd2 but very expensive

If you want good tool go Byteshoter. Never had issues with it.

Galetto v54 reworked pcb works good too.

For now is there any tools who can read/write all EDC17 via OBD. I don't think so. Maybe in future, hopefully. Safest way is open ecu and use pins...

What about the original tools? Would you choose Alientech for EDC17 ecus plus checksum? Or CMD?
