Hi!
I want to read this ecu by boot mode but found nothing about it in fgtech documents. Can someone share pinout and bootpin of ecu?http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/15/03/19/6ba7ebd72a495e33814e7ebfcddeb684.jpg

Always get error:
error BOOT SET10
error ADDR_READ.
Tried to lift pin 44 and give +5v via 1k resistor but nothing............. If not put boot pin to gnd, just simple error Boot mode inactive :/

I recently played with this too - There's an "official" picture in FGTech folder, but it doesen't work any way I tried. I would guess that v54 galettos have some problem with l-line. I had some info (but can't find it now) how to test kl-lines but I never got around to do that - didn't have time and took the chip off. Hopefully someone will shed some light as this would be very nice to know.

P.S: If you follow the docs (pin 28 via 1k ohm to GND) and select Delphi DDCR it's doing something, and you get a file, but it was totaly wrong from what I saw.

Good luck!

the right boot mode with fgtech for sirus 32 is: pin28 to 1khom to the the boot wire(not to gnd) ,tested many time ;)

You mean this boot pin to flash pin 28?

FGT2 work good with Sirius 32N only and Will not work on Sirius 32. Simply as that and tested many times. If you do not have 32N ecu do not bother to try it have diferent boot loader and have to be soldered.

Dump whatI read seems ok in winols and ECM titanium. I think it must be good. Any other checked that?

The best way to check is double reading with fgt2 and flash programmer then you can compare dumps.

Sirius 32N would work read/write but sirius32 never worked for me... According to some people there's another way to put sirius32 in boot mode, I desolder flash memory on this one. When I'll have some spare time I will try experimenting.

forget it, boot cable is only for tricore ECUs(as I know). wire ecu through an OBD plug to the galetto obd plug

EDIT:

I tried, K-line is the green wires

Yellow wire of the boot cable is L-Line ;)

ok,i wil give the exact procedure:

--connect wires like fgtech sirus 32 pinout exept boot
--supply 13v to fgtech
--turn fgtech cable ignition switch to ON
--on fgtech menu select driver--->tool boot --->tool boot mode-->siemens infineon c167--->sirus 32 boot mode
--click connect
--wait until fgtech show the boot procedure message
--turn fgtech cable ignition switch to OFF
--connect grey wire(boot wire) with 1khom resistor to 29f200 pin 28
--turn fgtech cable ignition switch to ON,
--disconect grey wire then click OK

now fgtech can connect to the ecu
same procedure when reading & writing

Many years ago member adam also tried it ..
So why now when we have good programmers we need to go along this line again ...................
Just read and reprog it by a programmer m8's

There's no need for L line (yellow cable) to read sirius 32n in boot mode...

I'will order another external programmer because GQ-4X is a piece of shit. Can't read(always verify error) and write 29F200BB and many problems with the others too (29Fxxxx,28Fxxx). My local programmer dealer has Wellon VP 596. Is that a reliable tool? I ask because GQ-4X caused me a lots of headache in the past........

Wellon vp490 works the best to read it .it can id the chip correctly .give pin connection errors and all .takes 5 seconds to read .
Only takes 2 minute to remove it from the pcb if you have correct tools ....

sirius 32 is very dificulty remover flash because the board is flex plastic over aluminiun sustrate with high disipation.
