Hello,
I need some help here.
Car is Jaguar XJ6 1990. Instrument cluster is this one:
http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=305280&stc=1
I open this cluster and inside I have eeprom 93C06.
I read it. File is in attachment.
The file is very small. In my opinion important part is 07 81 EF F7 07 81 03 92
Car has now 107204 km.
I want to add 500 km more or less. So, 107700 would be fine.
Anyone knows how to modify this file ?
Thanks

Hi, the XJ to 2004 pic is not the same cluster that has an hc11 (The big dil micro at the bottom of the picture). You have the very early cluster with a 93c06 . This was the first digital mileage correction I did, about 25 years ago. I cannot remember the algo but what I did was read the eeprom, replaced the cluster and drove the car re-reading the eeprom a few times until it made sense. If you want to try that and post the results it may jog my memory. You are very unlucky as this cluster was only in the cars for a very short time and was replaced with the hc11 cluster. (Take note Tam) ! Arthur.

Many thanks for your help.
I am afraid I can not make that test (re-reading the eeprom a few times). You will understand why ...
Let me tell you the full story.
This cluster has a problem. Speedometer needle works fine, but the digital numbers on the display don?t change :)
This cluster has always 107204 km. It never changes...
In my country vehicles are obliged to make a annual inspection. In this inspection they mark the car mileage.
And now the car failed the inspection because the car mileage is the same as last year.
So, costumer asked me to try to repair it (I already checked and can?t find any problem) or add some Kilometers to pass the inspection.
Hope you understood this story :)

Am I missing something as the PDF I posted has the 93c06 eep too? Are you saying there is a cluster with a 93c06 and a hc11? I dont know the algo either way but as I nicked the PDF from Enigma library I just thought someone with Enigma box might just download, put on dongle, press buttons, upload.....

Just a thought. De-solder the eeprom and write the dump into a new one and test the car. Arthur.

Thanks for all your help.
I have bought a new eeprom and will program with new data from bender.
Car is not here, but as soon as I test this data with new eeprom I will report here.
Thanks
