transit dashboard

got a chance of buying a workmates transit automatic but the dashboard is bothering me a bit,speedo not working and the fuel guage dont work,any suggestions would be welcome,....thanks in advance

did you checked anything.
fistly check the most simple thing,,,,,,the fuses
then check behind the dash if you have proper +12volt permanent and with ignition and the check the grounds

gonna have a look tomorrow but been told the fuses are ok but will double check,any idea how much a garage would roughly charge if new instuments reqd?....thanks for getting back to me,not too good on the auto front as you can see

You dont say what year.

Earlier Transits pre 2004 sblurblurblurblurblured damp/corrosion issues, later ones dash probs but normally total failure, what you have described sounds more like sender units obd reader with live data would confirm this

Later models press and hold trip down and turn ignition on will do a self test to confirm motors are ok

its a 54 plate so should i try the hold trip down and turn on?....cheers
