VW Not sart good, when engine hot

Hello,

friend of mine, has problem, he asked me when i have solution.
I have never heard about this but maybe someone is here and can help.

When start car and engine cold, no problem to start but when engine is hot, car not start good, many problems.

He changed the starter but same problem.

yes crank you have to wait sometimes until 15 second to start car. Difficult to start car when engine is hot.
When engine cold, car start immiediately without problem.

If it is petrol engine - most likely it is the engine coolant temp sensor. There are either two 2 pin sensors or one 4 pin sensor.

If it's diesel - check if it cranks 200rpm and try to code automatic gearbox. People used to "correct" the start injection map but the problem is in the starter. If it won't crank over 200rpm you will have hot start problem.

What engine TDI or gas?
What year is the car?

TDI, i think it was 2003.
People used to "correct" the start injection map but the problem is in the starter.

Can you explain me how to do this with start injection map?

If you look at the RPM axis on start of injection map. Above 80c and below 200 rpm injection quantity is zero. EDC15-16 all have this issue but edc17 was solved.
Read Ecu flash with mpps, fgtech, 1260 etc... Post and I will fix for you if you need
