Vw Jetta 2001 1.6
Siemens Simos 2.1 ECU
06A906019BQ 1.6l 2V/R4 SIMOS
AM29F200bb Flash

Immo in cluster failed
gave 3 options to customer
1- new or second hand cluster - to expensive
2- immo emulator (tested and works) - no guarantee how long it will last
3- immo off in the ecu - software option taken this will not fail

I read the ecu in boot mode with Galleto V54
Immo off with immo universal 3.2
Write back to ecu with Galleto , re-read the ecu just to check if the write was succesfull (Compared the write and written files and original )
Fit Ecu - car starts and runs 100% fine but now i can not diagnose the ecu with any of my tools but before i could
why is it no possable anymore to diagnose the ecu and what if there is a fault how to diagnose

On some ecu's i have found after you immo off you cant diagnose, on k line vw's i usually just put emulator do alot of these and never had one coming back after i have fitted emulator.

i also like the emulator have done a lot in the past 2 years and none came back at least the 1.6 do not have a lot of sensors that can go wrong
customer happy car is starting and i am happy $$$$

dont have diagnosis in car becouse dash is defect, not becouse immo off, in this car dash is diagnistic module

thanx for answer but i could diagnose ecu and dash before immo off i just could not get the immo part from the dash and the fault codes i got from dash was " key " and from the ecu " blocked by immo" , the key light on the dash did not even wok and is still not , VASPC on ecu = no system present and all the china tools also do not see the ecu , but not a real problem for now

u mean in the dash ? i did not even bother to look , the lcd is on and then off and bright and dim the cluster is not in a good condition i did notice it was a bit butchered before maybe some one did something when they lost the key a long time ago because the current key stared in a horror movie (glued taped u name it )
