1. Removal. Open the drivers door and remove the triangular side trim from the dash, the door jam trim next to the GTR logo and a portion of the door rubber by the dash.
2. Pull the steering column out and down as far as it will go and lock it in that position.
3. Unclip the single piece of trim under the steering wheel towards the back of the cowling that is the base of the binnacle.
4. Unbolt the Bonnet release catch (2 10mm bolts - small long reach ratchet required). Then unclip and pull down the lower part of the dash taking care of plugs and cables behind.
5. Get on your back and stick your head under the steering wheel and look at the very bottom of the speedo binnacle, it is held in by 2 screws
6. Gently unclip the cowling cloth like cover from between the steering wheel and the speedos (http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?toolid=10029&campid=CAMPAIGNID&customid=CUSTOMID&catId=267&type=2&ext=230919514861&item=230919514861). Look up underneat for clear access. (small flat head required)
7. Get back on your back again and stick your head underneath and look for the 4 silver bolts holding the actual speedo black plastic (http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?toolid=10029&campid=CAMPAIGNID&customid=CUSTOMID&catId=11450&type=2&ext=281048094253&item=281048094253) in. Take them all out, they go through the steering column.
8. Pull the speedo cluster up and forward and get outside the car to un-clip the plugs from the back of the speedo cluster.
9. TAKE CARE. When removing the entire housing up and out, be extremely careful as there is a sharp metal cage on the left which will badly mark and cut the leather (in my case http://www.gtr.co.uk/forum/images/smilies/frown.gif )
