2010 VW SCIROCCO 2.0 TDI 140 EDC17 PROBLEM

Hi there

have this vehicle here. assmuming it is ec17c46.

Only have my galletto with me. it is v54 mini eu.

I done the pw read vag-mini menu via obd and received the following

DATA READING
Start data reading...OK
ERROR TPROT - For this new ECU we have no password at this time - Work in progress
Operation canceled

I am using 64bit windows but cant see this being a problem as i have been using it for a while without problems

There is no point me removing the ecu and password reading it on a bench is there with this tool?

Boot only. Probably tprot 7-8 no password needed to be read.

But it is 2010 wasn't tprot out in 2009

it's CP14 but if 2010 then high probability to have Tprot 5 or higher so go on safe side and do it on boot.

this ecu is edc17cp14 with tc1796 and dont have tp, you can go via obd
