Q1. Do i need to purchase a gift ? , If i buy a v8 box without a gift package, is it just a case of download latest program list and update box & then view

Q2. What is a gift (i see these for sale)

Q43 What size HD can be attatched to the v8 and does it need to be formated to fat/fat32/nt** ?

Q4. Can i record a program whilst watching another

Q5. Can you flick forward on a channel to view whats coming up next

Q1. Yes, if you buy a v8 on it's own and update the firmware and install a channel list, you ill be able to view and record all the free to air channels.

Q2. Lol.

Q3. Depends on what you want to do with your recordings, if its watch Eastenders and delete then a 8gb or 16gb stick drive is ideal. If you want to record and keep films then 500gb or 1tb would be best. Fat32 or nt** both are supported but iirc Fat32 only supports file sizes upto 4gb but this shouldn't make any difference as the v8 records in 1gb chunks anyway.

Q5. Unfortunately the 7 day epg is broken at the moment so only a basic now and next is available.
