hi all please want someone to help me .have the above mentioned car with no immo normal key but dos not want to start& there is security light in the dashboard blinking . any help will be good Vin [3gnec13t92g176429]. thanks

it depends on what year avalanche.. any GM product after 2008 has a chip in the key.. previous years have the passlock system.. th best way to try and troubleshoot this is to google passloc... there are so many issues with this system it's hard to point to just one.. The main problems I have found have been, the switch in the ign cylinder housing contacts get dirty and change the resistance so the BCM thinks something has been changed.. broken wires going to the switch, and voltage issues causing the BCM to fry...
