Renault key programmer Run-Time error 380 - please help

Hi Guys,

I recently purchased a Megane II. but it only came with one keycard. So I purchased two new preconfigured cards (ready for programing) and a Renault key programmer from China.

The tool starts reading out something from the vehicle, the blue progress bar gest to the end to the point where it should display the information about the car, but at this point it throws the "Run-Time error 380" error code.

I have read this somehwere that this is something to do with fonts missing from the PC (which would make sense as it only happens it wants to display something), and some of them mentioned on that page were actually missing, and it was suggested to install Office, which I did but it made no difference.

Any kind of idea about what can be the reason for this?

Hi,
had a simular problem a while back but cant remember the code number.
Ended up opening the cable obd plg and one end of one resistor hadn't been soldered so reworked the rest and it was fine after that.

I have resoldered the whole board and it's still the same... any other suggestions?

i have read in a forum that this cable is an elm327 interface and the gay change the pic18f with anoriginal elm and it work very well

Forgive my question but , could you explain how to do that ?
I'm reading in many places but not Hayo nasa solution to the problem and further than that, things got worse .
If you could help me I would appreciate it .
