Audi tt Millage correction not to get 999999KM ?

i busted one Audi (manet marreli dash ) tt cluster and costed me some $$$$ to get it fixed
then i did not have x-prog or programmer now i do , now i would like to know should i get one of these TT's again what chip should i read and what program to use to not to get the 999999km error again or do x-prog support this dash , i would realy learn how to DIY this dashes up to now i choose to ignore them

You need to read eeprom of Motorola processor HC12 .
Then you can post file here ad someone will help you .


NOTE :
the main thing with those clusters is to remomber old km exactly all 6 digits and save eeprom file form original . This way you have back up and if anything goes wrong way you OK.

thanx to your answers this helps a lot , seconhand clusters rips your wallet from $600-$900 at the junk yard if u can find it and a repair cost like $500 and 2wheeks waiting time so yes this helps a lot
