Hi has anybody got the solution for this problem, bmw e60 couldn't do a brake-pad reset after changing them. Tried both ways manually and with obd but still at 0% . Along with this when i goto idrive service reset settings all serviceable parts are listed but couldn't reset from there either . Any clues how to fix this problem?

Reprogrammed module but no luck i assume cluster faulty or someone messed up whilst doing correction

I'm sure you allready look at it look but onse I have same problem nad the problem was that non OEM sensor (was from TRW) had too short pin. IF it is unpluged and you try to reset it goes to -25000? Regards

I did a full update including cas for some reason ista updated and flashed all modules but failed to code cluster, lm and body module. I tried 2 times same results.

Odometer keeps dropping back aswell few hundred miles every time according to the customer and other resets are not available like distance calc just dashes!!!

What do you think it could be pal ?

Reprogramming will not help. You have to do a test plan or test schedule and then it'll will reset.

Do you have DOT near km value?
I had problems with services reset after correcting mileage , everythink was ok exept sevises.
I check the actual values at CAS and there was stil 0 km. I plug AVDI by OBD and set 100km value at CAS and every think came back to normal the sevices were display just fine . so, synchronization between CAS and dash was faulty.
I hope you solve your problem by our experiances.

Garagetech did you just change the brake pads and the brake sensors or did you also work on the cluster? Because if you did you have yourself a corrupted file. If you did not, the only way left provided the sensors are brand new too is to drive the car a 100 miles or so and retry it.

No customer saying he got car like this but brakes and sensors been change , if its the matter of correcting mileage dose anyone know what needs aligning cas cluster ecu or only ecu and cas?

I just told you ,
-check if there is a dot on dash
- check the km value on CAS if it is the same with dash
- correct km by OBD on cas with AVDI , DP3 or any tool who works with it.

is there a fault code in ABS/DSC?

check it doesn't say front/rear axle brake wear sensor inplausible signal.

Sometimes the car thinks the brakepads are at 255% and cannot be reset but it usually has this fault code

No , problem is service reset optioned are not available from idrive and cluster its just blank i will read cas and ecu then put it on forum maybe in few days so we can sort it out

If new brake pad sensors have been fitted make sure they are oem quality.

If after you still have problems resetting service history recode the ABS and cluster.. (Code not Reflash)
