i had a customer bring me a civic 2014 because his scanner would not read srs system on 2014.. he told me that his scanner could read srs system 2013 just fine.. not 2014.. may be need to update scanner??

Have you tried shorting SCS connector and reading codes on the dash...... i know it works on 2013 Acura ilx, so it probably will on 2014 civic also....
