After flashing my new DM 800 HD, I cant get it to boot.
I flashed it through the web interface, using my IP, and now, I can only get it to boot with the Dream MultiMedia text on the LCD. NOTHING else happens.
Tried connecting through network, no luck.
Tried to get in via Null Modem, still no luck.
Tried holding the power button under boot to get in like before the flash, no luck...
What else can I do ????
Is there a way to reset it/clean it ???:hmmmm2:

Not sure.
Think it was DreamForum-II.v10.04-DM800. Its been some days since I did it.

are you leaving it unpluged long enough before powering box up again at least a minute or so, even if using dreamup
all new images will not work on a clone to do with the bootloader
if not try dreamup with of a older image from our downloads
some thing like gemini 4.0 or 4.10

As I wrote, I not able to do anything to the box.
When I use Dreamup NOTHING happens...

were you powering it off long enough when starting dreamup?
or
does it say any thing else on the screen when trying to restart the box
or
what does dreamup say when it is started

Hope this helps found on another forum know ~~~~ all about these boxes

this is what i did to restore my clone box after flashing it with Blackhole v0.6 :

used a serial cable (with usb to serial convertor dongle) and Universal DreamUP to connect to DM800, also had network cable plugged in (DM800 to router).
when DreamUP found the DM800 it sent it some file.
then if you look at the DM800 display, it will show you an IP address.
type that IP address in a web browser and you will be able to flash the box using the Web IF (i sent the #69 bootloader, was done in a few seconds).

basically i used DreamUP to prepare the box for flashing via it's WebIF.

hope that helps.

I dont get any ip, only the Dream Multimedie text, even when I turn it on, holding the Power button.. NOTHING happens.
I didnt know that there was clones and org ones, cause then I would have bought a org one for sure.

It's gone some time since you spoke in this thread, but as faar as I can see with the little experience I've got with the 800HD box I own, I would guess that the cable you are using are NOT a Null Modem cable. There are cables that look the same but the connections in theese are straight, which they are not in the Null Modem.

I hope it help someone atleast!
Good Luck!

I also bought it at dreamboxonline.co.uk. The box stuck while booting from new.We restarted it holding its front button to get ip address, it was fine, but the box didn't respond to any attempt to access it via browser.
Apart from that the box doesn't look new.
I wouldn't recommend to buy from this site, unless you want to pay twice to get a new one after.
