I cannot use 2.08 because is infected with w32.sality virus. It write that is updating and updating families but now I have only this. There is any chance to repair or I must change again the lpc2478?

I have found only 2.11 without virus. If you have 2.10 without virus, please post. Only the exe file will need.

Tested with v2.13 and worked like a charm...
What i did is:
1. First flash the fwnx.bin file with JLINK.
2. Format old SD card(FAT) and paste new SD CARD contents.(Mark folder properties as Read Only)
3.Install Ksuite v2.13
4. Copy Update folder with update files to KSUITE folder
5.Run Ksuite.exe. First time won't update. Everything will be gray. Then close the software.
6. Run Ksuite.exe again, let tool update itself this time, and finally enjoy v6.070 fw.

hello.i try to read this ecu with ktag master version , all connection are good,power suplly it's ok , the ktag read the ecu very well but appear only the 798kb from the internal eeprom and only 8kb from eeprom 96540 ....the file normanly from Irom is:1.46mb and the file from eeprom is 32kb....
anyone know how to read noemanly the files with ktag master?maybe make some mistake?

Just a quick update about...
...getting nowhere. Bit frustrating :crushed:

So I got out the ECU from my wife's car and crack it open (she was in a shock seeing that, I can tell - at least this was funny) and hooked it up to my NOT yet updated KTag. Everything went smoothly up until "The hardware not supported message". Quite strange as this is an EDC16+ and the KTag gave me all the connection points, etc

So I decided to upgrade as I have everything, thanks to gazvts...

To make the very long story short - if I set up everything as in the J-Link video it comes back as "Auto detection of CPU clock frequency is not supported"

Then I set the frequency manually (eg 4033 Hz) and it connects but then it comes with "Unexpected core"

I hardwired mine to pads ,did you connect usb cable to the ktag an pc ?
also check all the legs on nxp make sure well soldered if still no connection probably need to replace mcu

Last four days I've read a lot ;)

It's been said that in general every firmware version has one (or sometimes more) corresponding software "counterpart". If you go beyond that you do not gain anything just grayed out protocols which are enabled in the new software version but your firmware is not able to handle.

Also many think that 2.11 is full of viruses.

So that's what I've read among other things :unionflag:

by the way I've checked the NXP user manual (http://www.nxp.com/products/microcontrollers/product_series/lpc2100_200_300_400/LPC2478FBD208.html) and there IS a way to activate ISP mode on a CRP3 protected chip: just make it think that the user code invalid ;)

There is good working token reset solution's for both tools these are not free

Hi guys, firstly I owe thanks to gazvts and yourmate for sharing the 6.070 fw and k-suite update folder for K-tag :). Much appreciated. Not forgetting any original work that might not be credited :).

I have trasdata folders downloaded but unsure how to migrate. I updated fw no problem on the k-tag to 6.070 and have all protocols pretty much available and trucks etc in k-suite. I am wondering how many tokens there are, is it 30? I would like any more information on token resetter also.

Chinese is most time luck to get a good one, even if you purchased a very good one from vendor in China, maybe next time you buy from the same vendor again it might be crap, so it is not easy to tell you some good sources for chinese clone :/

Price for ?standard? chinese clones are about 100 Euro so they are really cheap now (but for this price without token reset) and Eu clone is about 650 Euro but with token reset.
I can't tell you what will be the better choice for you.
I have a lot of tools....some chinese, some eu, some original...

Try to resolder your NXP

Try using HotAir and little push down NXP from side to side, and solder it, should help you.
Many time china pcb have poor quality, nxp have many solder legs, very easy to have noconnect in one pin

Ok, if you are 100% sure... i'm just sure i read this somewhere. May be a chinese hw with button user can confirm this. I read the button works for 3 or 4 times max, then the addon board is useless. But maybe i'm wrong.

cheapest is not good idea, because cables have lower quality too. I see some pcs of ktag and kess in lower quality, much more components is piece of... and if you connect USB cable, any diode don't lighning and you get 3,3v on it. After connect power pcb start work normally :rofl:

Hi, I have got problem with poland KTAG, last time when I was trying to read DENSO ECU I connect all as was described at manual, then I click to read and nothing, red LED on KTAG turn off and my KTAG is "dead". When I connect to PC PC regonize it, but red LED on KTAG won?t turn on. Where could be the problem??

your tool is dead...your serial number and client code is china shi+...only china can restore your tool...so...buy another one like this (maybe you will be more lucky)...sdcard content on version 6.070 is invisible (sistem files)...so,you are unlucky guy...payed xxx euro for china shi+...uhhh

Surfing on the web all chinese advertising show that ktm100 has new fxx available(i mean edc17c50 for ex) but on mine not. Someone have tried new release of ktm100? Really support the new cars or it's a usual chine fake?

May be my updating is not complete and missing some file.

I have a couple answer:

1---Why original device has not Murata resonator/osc and in clone tool should change it to success reading???

2---I have problems reading and I am going to change ori crystal to Murata Resonator.

Murata is smaller, so I supose must solder it in the smaller tracks above ori Osc...and of course remove original Osc
Other option will be add 22 pf capacitors to the original china osc so to obtain similar results.

Hi mates. I dont have jlink yet. So i wonder if i can use the original 2.08 instaler and copy to the folder the archives from the 6.070 pack only the ksuite foldrr not the update folder and use 5.001 from china whitout problem . I really apreciate any response.

Let me know if i understand well. I have 2.08 original instaler and 2.08 archives to copy to c: /ksuite folder. Only that! i didnt want to copy the update folder or sd files. Only run the program and use 5.001 its not posible? Teamtuner confirme that. Greattings

if understood correct you want to install original 2.08 installer (which will install ksuite 2.08)
then copy the ksuite 2.08 folder from archive to c: which will replace the original 1 with 2.08 copy
then remove the update folder so no updates will happen
then use 2.08 software
this will work as theres no update folder so no updates will happen
any version of ksuite will run as long as you remove the update folder before running the sw with ktag or kess connected
that way you make sure nothing will happen to kess or ktag
