Hi friends, i received one dashboard from scenic

At first when i connect with emulator there is no current flow

-I check the transistor and was blown (short between 3 legs), i changed it
-I check fuse and was blon (no continuity), i changed it
-I resoldered resistor zone

Now dashboard makes my power source unit mad, i attach photo and video showing

What can it be? dashboard doesnt light up nothing

Thanks friends

hi mate,
looks like your power supply cant handle the current drawn from te dash is it strong enough or do you have your current limit set to low?
try in the car or other power supply with more amps.
if it is not your power supply then it looks like a shortcircuit, is the mosfet you changed the correct one? and is your soldering correct, no shortcircuits?
If al of this is correct maybe ther is a shortcircuit in one of the VFD displays somethimes they go bad and make shortcircuit.
Try removing them and check if your dash boots.

in first place thanks for reply

power supply is 5amps, i have it limited to max current
car is not here, will test tomorrow with 10 amp current power supply

its very extrange:

-Conecting just +12volts and 0volts
it makes high power consumption (like in video ) for 3 seconds, and after that it has 1,40 Amps consumption

-Connecting 12volts and 0volts and emulator (checked with 2 emulators and do the same)
It makes like video (high power consumption all the time)

i have other vfd display but its a pain in the ass unsolder completely, but i think i have to test it because i dont know what more to do

What about transformer VOGT? can it be deffective? i dont know how many voltage i have to measure in that points

there is possible one photo with how many voltages i have to meassure between points?

thanks again!

Hello, the transformer on each side have 0V 0V 5V 13V 5V.
It's like you Ghauman indicates the partner, it seems that the source can not support the current and voltage drops.
Source 15A I use to work at 12V.

In fact THAT was the problem! the PSU cannot give current, used 10 amps and went perfect! its strange because i was able to repair other dash with this PSU

The psu goes directly to the trash

Thanks both have a nice day guys

I use this in 15A, although you can buy in different powers, are inexpensive and work well. Then you buy a digital voltmeter that goes for 3 € for regulating (adjustment takes) it depends on the intensity the low voltage and adjusts.
